About the Tournament Champions

From 1907 through 1919, handicap scores were used in determining the Indianapolis City Champions.

From 1920 through 1930, actual scores were used.

A division or classification system was used from 1931 through 1938 and 1981 through 1985.

Excluding 1981 through 1985, from 1939 to the present, a handicap system is used with the actual scores determining the City Champion.
