Recognitions & Awards

This award is presented each year, or as applicable, to a senior female for dedicated service to the Indy USBC Association.
Any member of Indy USBC, 70 years of age or older, is eligible.
Selection is made from nominations received by the Indy USBC Awards Committee.

In September of 2007 the Indy USBC board of directors voted to combine the Clifford E. Doerr Meritorious Service Award (previously awarded by the GIBA) and the Irene Wiese Award of Appreciation (previously awarded by the IWBA) and rename the award as the Clifford E. Doerr/Irene Wiese Award of Appreciation.

This award is presented annually, when appropriate, to an individual (male or female) who has distinguished themselves for both long and faithful service to other bowlers or the sport of bowling.

Nominations can be made only by a member of the board of directors. And, the Executive Board Committee, comprised of the Indy USBC president, 1st vice president, 2nd vice president and sgt-at-arms, makes selection.

The board of directors of the GIBA established this award in 1995. This award is presented to an individual who has served the board in an exemplary manner for a minimum of twenty (20) years. The Indy USBC board approved continuance of this award.

An “Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award”, when applicable, is presented to a volunteer that has distinguished themselves for outstanding achievement as a Volunteer. To be eligible for nomination, the volunteer must have given outstanding service to the sport of bowling and the Indy USBC.

Any member of the Indy USBC can present a resume for consideration by the Awards Committee.

An “Outstanding Youth Volunteer of the Year Award”, when applicable, is presented to a youth volunteer that has distinguished themselves for outstanding achievement as a Volunteer to our youth bowlers and the youth program. To be eligible for nomination, the volunteer must have given outstanding service to the youth bowling program and Indy USBC Association youth bowlers.

Anyone can present a resume for consideration by the Awards Committee.

An “Outstanding Youth Coach of the Year Award”, when applicable, is presented to a youth coach who has distinguished themselves for outstanding achievement as a coach for our youth bowlers.
To be eligible for nomination, the coach must have given outstanding services to the youth bowling program and Indy USBC Association youth bowlers.
Anyone can present a resume for consideration by the Awards Committee.

A “Female Bowler of the Year Award”, when applicable, is presented to a female youth bowler who has distinguished herself for outstanding achievement and attitude. To be eligible for nomination, the young bowler must have exemplified an outstanding attitude and performance as a youth bowler of the Indy USBC Youth Association.

Anyone can present a resume for consideration by the Awards Committee.

A “Male Bowler of the Year Award”, when applicable, is presented to a male youth bowler who has distinguished himself for outstanding achievement and attitude. To be eligible for nomination, the young bowler must have exemplified an outstanding attitude and performance as a youth bowler of the Indy USBC Youth Association.

Anyone can present a resume for consideration by the Awards Committee.
